We have established a Model Centre in Mandinaba Village, West Coast Region, which attempts to showcase our holistic, complementary and human-centred approach to sustainable development. It provides a clear picture of integrated interventions to attaining national and international sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) goals.

Community mobilization and health education activities for the uptake of SRHR services using our kaabilo baamas and other regional structures, and the provision of preventive and curative SRHR services thorough our Well Woman and Family Health Clinic (WWFHC) have translated into a community that is healthy and well informed about SRHR issues, and has the physical and psychological well-being to engage in productive, livelihood activities.

Access to literacy and diverse knowledge, livelihood skills training, a micro-credit scheme for women, and a market outlet have facilitated viable economic activities for the women of Mandinaba and proven to be effective strategies to improve productivity and empowerment of women and their families. This has translated into employment opportunities and increased family incomes among our beneficiaries, thereby reducing household poverty, encouraging community financial support structures for SRHR issues, and contributing to the overall advancement of the village.
