BAFROW Family Clinics
These clinics provide integrated preventive and clinical care tailored to community needs; maternal and child health services that prioritize safe pregnancy, delivery and new-born care; and nutritional orientation and guidance, helping families adopt healthier practices for long-term well-being. Through these clinics, BAFROW brings accessible, holistic healthcare directly to communities and empowers families to take charge of their health outcomes.
BAFROW Family Clinics provide a wide range of clinical facilities, including out-patient and emergency units, infant and child welfare services, and obstetrics and gynaecology clinics. Each clinical facility is equipped with a pharmacy, laboratory and ultrasound scanning.
Key Services Offered

Our portable ultrasounds strengthen maternity care in our delivery of safer, higher‑quality services for mothers and babies.
- Preventive and clinical care, including health education
- Emergency obstetric and neonatal care (EmONC), including C-sections, basic surgeries and referrals to BAFROW Medical Centre for specialized care
- Management and treatment of common illnesses such as malaria, diarrhoea, STIs, malnutrition, and complications from FGM and harmful practices
- HIV test and treat
- Our Mobile Clinics extend these services to remote villages
Community Engagement and Empowerment
- Our health providers engage men, women and youth on issues such as family planning, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, FGM, nutrition, immunization and girls’ education–supported by Community-Based Counsellors (CBCs) trained through our Functional Literacy Program to mobilize communities for behaviour change
- The clinics also serve as training centres for female auxiliary nurses–beneficiaries of our projects–ensuring sustainability and creating opportunities for self-advancement

The clinic at BAFROW Model Centre in Mandinaba Village is funded by proceeds from BAFROW Medical Centre to ensure continuity of community health services.
